Hunan Hydro & Power Design Institute (HHPDI) was founded in 1949, which has the same age with the new China. For about half a century, people in HHPDI base upon the thick humanistic soil of Hunan, by utilizing the Dongting Lake, Xiangjiang, Zijiang, Yuanshui, Lishui River Systems as ink, have made many moving musical movements of scientific water-control and harmony between people and water. HHPDI is known for playing a leading role in innovation of science and technology in hydropower of Hunan and it is called think-tank of Hunan's water conservancy construction and the talent bank of sustainable development in Hunan.
Over the historical vicissitudes and like-song years, a few generations in HHPDI are consistently persevering to the loyalty of water resources and hydropower undertakings; to owners they are with 100% zeal; they have abided by technique concept of profession, precision and reality; they have working diligently and persistently and have struggling firmly. They cultivate skills of power station with low-head bulb type tubular or axial-flow unit powerhouse with movable roof of gantry crane in low-head power station,full-face RCC dam design and supervision of navigation and power complex,regulation of watershed ecology,treatment and grouting in complex foundation,prestressed anchorage, design of structures in irrigation area,high slope treatment,hydraulic and hydroelectric automatic measurement and control etc. several initiate and leading design skills, which have played an important role in water resources and hydropowers development history in home and abroad.
Persist to considering the water as media, and honesty is priceless. HHPDI have developed over a half century, and marked a good phase. A deep thanks to leading cadres at all levels for giving us concern and love; thanks to friends in social public for giving us unlimited support. All your trust, support and friendship give us motility, confidence. We will take this as honor and exert ourselves enterprising, to making unremitting effort to the HHPDI who has modern management, demonstration of honesty, advance in techniques, excellent brand, fine growth and it will be a first-class technology services consulting enterprise of water resources and hydropower modern management with capacity of international competition.
